What is NDIS Plan management?

NDIS plan management is one of three options available for managing your NDIS funds. With the plan management option, you still have control over how your NDIS budget is used along with the support and guidance of a ‘plan manager’. Your plan manager will assist you in managing your funds, budgeting and paying your bills, as well as offering guidance on important decisions and complying with the NDIS rules.

Why use a plan manager?

People who opt for NDIS plan management will benefit in a number of ways. Essentially, you get all the freedom of being self-managed without having to worry about the admin side of things like budgeting, bookkeeping and tedious paperwork.

What does a plan manager do?

All invoices will go directly to your plan manager, who then coordinates the claiming and payment process directly with the NDIS and your providers. You can think of them as the connection between your providers and the NDIA, managing all communication and invoices on your behalf. They can also act as a support person while you learn to self-manage.
